Spider Lift 28 Meter for rent in Jeddah

Spider Lift 28 Meter Rental in Jeddah

Working height
28 m
Platform height
26 m

The 28 m spider lift puts the basket at about 26 m and out to roughly 15 m sideways on a machine under 5 t, so it is chosen for dome interiors and tall glazed atriums, and for façades where no heavy machine may stand in front.

About the 28 m spider lift

At 28 m the basket floor rises to about 26 m and side reach runs to roughly 12–15 m, with the top figure reached on most models at a reduced basket load rather than the full one. Even so, the stowed machine stays about 0.9–1.2 m wide and weighs 3.9–4.8 t, where a wheeled man lift of this height weighs 15 t or more. That is why it is booked when the height is large but the ground or the slab cannot take a heavy machine.

The practical difference to plan for is that a spider lift does not drive with the boom up. At each new position the basket is stowed and the outriggers raised, then it tracks to the next spot and levels again. So mark out in advance the set-up positions that cover the whole job, and give each one a square of about 4.2–5 m for the outriggers, clear of manholes and edges. If the work runs along a long elevation on paved ground, a man lift may be quicker.

What a 28 m spider lift is hired for

  • Inside the domes of large mosques

Runs on electric power in the prayer hall on boards that protect the carpet, and reaches toward the crown of the dome for calligraphy, painting and hanging the central chandelier.

  • Glass roofs over mall atriums

Stands in the ground-floor atrium, or on an upper slab once its capacity is checked, and reaches glazing, canopies and shading systems at 20–26 m.

  • Courtyard façades in hospitals and universities

Buildings ring a courtyard reached only through a walkway or a pedestrian gate; the slim tracks pass through and reach façades up to about the eighth floor.

  • Working from a podium roof

Light enough to be craned onto the podium deck, from where it works on the tower façade above instead of a heavy machine standing in the street.

  • Pool canopies at coastal resorts

Tracks along paths and lawns around the pool without rutting them, and reaches over the water to shade structures and lighting at Red Sea resorts and Obhur chalets.

Is the 28 m spider lift the right size?

  • Smaller size22 m spider lift — If the top of the job is 20 m or lower, or the way in is a door of about 1 m, the 22 m spider lift is slimmer and lighter on slabs.
  • Larger size33 m spider lift — If the work is above about 26 m, or you need more than about 15 m of reach at full load, the 33 m spider lift gives another 5 m, at more weight and width.

28 m spider lift rental questions

Can a 28 m spider lift move while raised?
No. All four outriggers must be down and the machine level before the boom lifts, and it may not travel with the basket up. To move, the basket comes down, the outriggers fold and it tracks to the next spot, usually on a remote control with the operator walking alongside. Plan the set-up positions in advance so the day is not lost to moves.
How much space do the outriggers of a 28 m spider lift need?
On most models a square of about 4.2–5 m each way; some allow a narrower set-up in exchange for less basket reach. Send us the dimensions of where the machine will stand, and any furniture, planters or columns in it, so we can confirm the outriggers deploy fully.
Can a 28 m spider lift be craned onto a roof?
Yes. The chassis has dedicated lifting points, and at about 3.9–4.8 t it suits a mid-size crane depending on the radius. The key condition is that the roof slab can carry the concentrated outrigger loads while it works, so get a structural engineer to confirm it, and send us the distance from the crane position to the landing spot.
How much does the basket of a 28 m spider lift carry at full reach?
The usual rating is 200–230 kg, two people with tools, but on many models the maximum reach is quoted at a lower load, and with more weight the control system shrinks the boom's envelope automatically. Add up the workers, tools and materials and give us the total, so we can check it against the model's load and reach chart.
