Crane 250 Ton for rent in Jeddah

Crane 250 Ton Rental in Jeddah

The 250-ton crane handles lifts that are both heavy and far out: stadium and arena trusses, tall industrial columns, heavy beams. Its boom runs to roughly 70–80 m and its counterweight arrives on several trucks.

About the 250-ton crane

The 250-ton crane is usually a five-axle all-terrain, with six axles on some models, and on the road it stays close in size to a 200-ton. The difference is more counterweight and a longer boom, giving clearly higher capacity at 30–40 m radius. That counterweight also means more trucks, longer rigging and more space beside the crane.

A lift of this size needs a written lift plan: load weight including rigging gear, radius at the start and end of the lift, ground bearing under the outriggers, and the load path over obstacles. It is usually prepared by the project's lifting engineer from the crane's load chart and configuration. Share the plan or drawings with your request so the crane arrives in the right configuration.

What a 250-ton crane is hired for

  • Stadium and arena roof trusses

Each piece is heavy and long and is lifted from outside the stands, so it needs capacity at long radius.

  • Upending columns and tall vessels

Main crane for raising process columns from horizontal, with a smaller crane tailing the bottom end.

  • Heavy beams for roads and rail viaducts

Places long beams onto piers on bridges and elevated tracks where the crane cannot stand beneath the span.

  • Large tanks and tank roofs

Lifts tank roofs and upper shell rings at fuel and water storage terminals.

Is the 250-ton crane the right size?

  • Smaller size200-ton crane — If the furthest lift is within about 30 m and the weight fits the 200-ton chart, you save trucks and rigging time.
  • Larger size300-ton crane — If the piece weighs tens of tons beyond about 35 m, or you need real capacity above 100 m, look at a 300-ton crane.

250-ton crane rental questions

How big is the truck convoy with a 250-ton crane?
It depends on how much counterweight the lift needs and whether a lattice jib is required, but it is usually several trucks besides the crane. A lift that needs only partial counterweight needs fewer, so the weight and radius set the size of the convoy before it leaves.
Can a 250-ton crane lift a stadium roof truss?
For many trusses, yes, if the weight including rigging and the maximum radius fall within the chart. Very long trusses may need two cranes lifting together, or splitting into pieces assembled on temporary supports. Send the weight, dimensions and crane position to decide the method.
Should I book a 250-ton or a 300-ton crane?
The 300-ton usually has six axles, a longer boom and more counterweight, so it holds more capacity at long radius and above 100 m. It also brings more trucks and longer rigging, so if the lift fits the 250-ton chart, that is the quicker and simpler choice.
What ground bearing does a 250-ton crane need?
It depends on the load, the radius and the size of the outrigger mats; in heavy lifts the pressure under one outrigger can exceed what natural ground can carry. That is why outrigger loads are calculated in the lift plan, with large mats or a compacted gravel pad where needed.
