Crane 300 Ton Rental in Jeddah

About the 300-ton crane

The 300-ton crane opens the very heavy class. It drives on about six axles without its counterweight; counterweight slabs and any lattice jib follow on a convoy of trucks, and rigging on site takes around half a day or more. Against a 250-ton it has a slightly longer boom and much more counterweight, so it carries clearly heavier loads beyond 30 m.

Moving a 300-ton crane on the highway usually needs heavy-load permits and escort vehicles, and may be limited to certain travel times, especially through cities or over bridges. Planning therefore starts days before the lift, and the further the site is from Jeddah, the more early notice matters. Tell us the lift date as soon as it is set.

What a 300-ton crane is hired for

  • Large petrochemical modules

Sets heavy pre-assembled modules onto their structures on new builds and expansions.

  • Power-station equipment

Lifts generators, heavy transformers and turbine parts when the foundation sits deep inside the plant, out of close reach.

  • Wind turbine tower sections

Lifts lower tower sections and works as an assist crane while blades and components are assembled on the ground.

  • Long steel bridge segments

Sets heavy segments over wadis and highways from one side.

Is the 300-ton crane the right size?

  • Smaller size250-ton crane — If the heaviest lift sits within the 250-ton chart, you need fewer trucks and a shorter rig-up.
  • Larger size400-ton crane — If the height needed is beyond about 120 m, or the lift needs high capacity at very long radius, step up to a 400-ton crane.

300-ton crane rental questions

What decides the price of a 300-ton crane?
The day hire is only part of it. The quote also depends on the distance to site, the number of counterweight and jib trucks, rigging and de-rigging time, road permits and escorts, and possible standby days for wind. Send the weight, radius and lift date on WhatsApp for a complete quote.
Is a 300-ton crane used for wind turbine erection?
Usually for the lower tower sections and as an assist crane during assembly; nacelles at hub heights above 100 m normally need larger mobile or crawler cranes. The component weights and hub height decide which.
Does the ground need checking before a 300-ton crane arrives?
On most sites, yes. Outrigger loads in heavy lifts are very high, and the ground or compacted pad must be shown to carry them, especially near excavations or buried pipes. The results feed into the lift plan to size the outrigger mats.
Do sandstorms affect a 300-ton crane?
Yes. The strong winds that come with dust can stop a lift when they exceed the allowed limit, and dust cuts visibility between the operator and the signal crew. Schedules should therefore leave room for possible standby days in the windy seasons.
